While Dave Letterman may never read this list on his show, we've created a Top 10 list of California T1 Internet Providers. In our review of service providers we considered reliability, customer support, provisioning and financial stability. When Ethernet first increased from 10 to 100 megabits, it was a huge success. But the next step in that line of great technology was a gigabit Ethernet. Many different types of gigabit Ethernet are out there available for you to use. The IEEE 892.3ab, which defines the ideas and limits of the gigabit Ethernet came about back in 1999. This is when organizations could begin using the copper cabling to bring in Ethernet. At present some people are able to connect up to 1000 megabits per second, but that's way under a gigabit Ethernet. However, you will need to remember that most drives and other parts of your computer will find a very difficult time to keep up with even the 1000 megabits let alone the gigabit. Many customers are extremely price sensitive and cannot afford the cost of a T1 which can be as much as 20 times more expensive than a full T1 connection. Residential customers who are most sensitive to price should not consider a T1 circuit unless then have a business reason to pay for such a circuit and cannot access DSL service. Most people don't realize that a DSL connection can be just as fast as a T1 at 1.5Mbps. The shortcoming of DSL is that it is oversubscribed. This means there is a finite amount of bandwidth available and a customer's speed can drop if other customers in the neighborhood decide to use their service. SDSL (Synchronous DSL) is a business class DSL and is ranked as a higher priority than residential DSL or ADSL (Asynchronous DSL). This means it is not oversubscribed to the extent than ADSL and is subject to fewer bandwidth restrictions. In short, if price is your critical factor go with DSL. If reliability is the critical factor purchase a dedicated T1. The information highway is growing at the speed of light and so are a successful business’s expenses. So that is why every business owner or executive officer needs to be conscientious of the fixed expenses or monthly recurring costs. Most companies rely heavily on the phone or Internet to conduct business, which means that is why most small, medium and enterprise companies have large telecom expenses. Those voice and data connection costs grow along with the company, this is why these services need to be managed and supervised at all times. |
